We're excited to welcome you to town and raise a glass together! Feel free to come and go at any point during the evening. There will be passed hors d'oeuvres served, but not a full meal. We'll also be adding some of our favorite Rockaway spots to the FAQ if you're looking for dinner advice!
For Friday night, there are no formal transportation plans, since everyone has staggered arrival times and dinner reservations. For those staying in Rockaway, Harbor Light Pub is about one mile from the Rockaway Hotel, so walking is an option if you're interested. Uber/Lyft are readily available from all hotels, and probably the best way to get there. There is some street parking as well, if you are planning on driving in.
The bridal party will be in black tie (tuxedos for the men, long dresses for the women). Everyone else should come ready to party! You're welcome to show up in black tie as well, but suits and cocktail dresses absolutely work too. Just make sure you can dance!
On Saturday, there will be bus transportation to St. Francis de Sales Church for the ceremony from all hotels:
After the ceremony, those same buses will run shuttles to The Rockaway Hotel. If you're up for it - and your shoes are comfortable! - we also recommend a walk along the beach (~20-25mins) to return to the Rockaway Hotel, as there's a little break until the cocktail hour begins at 6pm.
When the Reception is over at 11pm, there will be a shuttle pick up at Rockaway Hotel, returning to the Hyatt Resorts World and TWA Hotel. If you need to leave earlier, or if you decide to stay in Rockaway and party the night away, Uber/Lyfts are recommended.
Yes, definitely! There is parking available at the church and valet service at The Rockaway Hotel. If you can, please email kefermissad@gmail.com to let us know if that's your plan, so that we can give the hotel an accurate estimated number of cars to expect.
